Mentoring Opportunities:

  • Individual Contact - An opportunity for you to work with a teen mother or teen father on a one-on-one basis for about one hour once a week
  • Group Contact - An opportunity for you to be a guest speaker to a group of students on such topics as:
    • Career options and information
    • Higher education information
    • Health and/or social issues
    • Self-enrichment and motivation

How Can You Become a Mentor/Volunteer

  • Attend a Baby Steps to Success Tour (please refer to the tour schedule and RSVP to 918-746-9215)
  • Volunteer applications are distributed at the Baby Steps to Success Tours
  • If your schedule does not comply with the designated tours, please let us know by contacting the Volunteer Program Coordinator at 918-746-9224 or daviska3@tulsaschools.org

Program Goal: To assist teen parents in overcoming the obstacles associated with early childbearing so that they and their families may become healthy, responsible, self-sufficient members of the community.
